Happy Canada Day from Barcelona!
Three days later and we have finally fully recovered from being jazzed at the Razzmatazz. That night was a night. We will will leave it at that.
We met some more Belgians! We are beginning to think we should have included Belgium in our Euro trip - we will have to stop through Brussels in our circa 2026 trip to see what these sprouts are all about.
Had a bit of a slow start on Saturday, but decided to go for a meander around the market - fresh squeezed fruit juice cures all. In the evening we met our new Belgian friends at the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc. There was a Pride parade going on, so we didn't get to see the music-synchronized show, but it was still absolutely gorgeous. Went to a pub with the Belgians afterward for one last drink before saying goodbye. Finished off the night with a casual game of sidewalk football.
Yesterday we mosied down to La Rambla de Mar for a good ol' people watching sesh. Had a peculiar run in with a German bachelor party, then headed back to the Parc de la Cuitadella for one last look at the fountain.
Today we are headed to Nice and will be proudly wearing red and white whilst waving our Canadian flags in the air! We are sad to leave Barcelona, but are excited to see what other amazing sights Europe has to offer.
Adiós for now, Barcelona. Bonjour Nice!
Sarah and Renée
